How was the tour in Italy, did the crowds have a good energy?
Oh yes, the fans were really good to us and we felt very welcome in Italy! Hope to get back soon!
Do you prefer to play a live show, or enjoy the methodic planning and recording of a record better?
Being in the studio can sometimes be a living hell to be honest, but when you get the result you are looking for, it’s really an amazing feeling. However, nothing can beat the feeling you get from a live show with a good crowd! It’s the best and I think I speak for all the members when I say this. We are indeed a live band and that’s something we will have as a main priority in the coming years, to tear up stages around the world!
Do you have any plans for the US? Such as releasing your album here not as an import small mini tour.
At the moment there’s nothing set, but we are currently searching for a US label as well as management and booking agency. To release the album (in the US) and tour the states is one of our main goals, so hopefully it will happen soon!
Have you ever been able to visit America? If so how do you think it is different from Europe.
I’ve never been in America before so it’s hard to say.
What are MIW’s plans for the future? Will you be recording a new album within the next couple of years? Are you writing for that already? Video’s soon?
In the near future we will do a couple of one off shows here in Norway. We will also start shooting the video for the song “Lucifer’s Town” in a couple of weeks. Other than that, we will enter the studio in April to record a song for a Stage Dolls (Norwegian 80’s hair band) tribute CD. We will do the song “Love Cries” and I believe it will turn out really good done the Malice way!;)
We are currently writing songs for our next album. We’ve even played a couple of them live and the feedback has been really amazing. We will start some pre-production during the spring and summer and hopefully enter the studio late this year or early next year. It’s a really good vibe in the band at the moment and I’m positive that we’ll be able to top the debut with our next album.
The line-up has changed recently do you think this is the MIW we should get used to seeing?
Yes, indeed. For the first time I have a band were all the members are truly dedicated and have this band as their main priority in their lives, and that’s a really good feeling. I think and hope that this line-up will last for a long, long time.
Tell me something about MIW that makes you happy to be in this band.
Oh, there is so much! First of all, this band is my life so I love almost everything about it. One thing that makes me happy is to be able to travel and see different places and meet a lot of cool people. This wouldn’t be possible without the band. Also the great feedback and love we get from our fans – because of the music we play – is something that always makes me and the boyz happy!
