V2 Records have become the first record label to commit their artists to we7.com, the first legal free digital download service in Europe.
Music fans will be able to download tracks by V2 bands like Bloc Party, Cold War Kids and Stereophonics.
We7.com is an advert supported website which means that each download will have a short advert attached to the beginning of the song, however, a month later users can download a replacement advert free version.
V2 not only submitted its back catalogue but licenced its new material to the website, so that songs by Little Man Tate and The Rakes will also be available.
