Background Info on Finnish band “Caroline“
19-year-old Finnish musician Tommy is known as the frontman of Caroline, as well as for his drumming in Automatic Eye.
Rock band Caroline was founded in the summer of 2005, and started off as a trio in which Tommy both sang and played drums. A few line-up changes and two seasons later, they found themselves recording their first demo; “Stories of my Life.”
A milestone in Caroline’s history was reached in 2006 as they played their first concerts.
They continued to write songs and, in September 2006, were ready to record them. The demo called
“Go and Get Yourself a Gun!” was out in Spring 2007. Two unnamed demos were also recorded, one in February – including songs “She”, “Rollercoaster Ride”, “Bottle Race” – and the other in May – “Swing”, “The Ark of Salvation.”
The current line-up of Caroline is Tommy, vocals; Simo, guitar; Samu, bass; and Henkka, drums.
Since late 2005, Tommy has also been part of Automatic Eye’s live performance, and helped to the studio recording of “January Dilemma.”
