These five guys in their twenties, hailing from Tampere, swear in the name of Rock’n'Roll. They adore bands like Guns’n'Roses, Mötley Crüe and Nirvana and have been compared to Finland’s most popular band HIM – and the guys feel only honoured by those comments. The topic is much alike: love; although all the songs are in Finnish, at least for now.

They believe people are getting tired of all the mainstream music and wanted to show what they have got to offer. And it worked. All the most popular radio stations in Finland were convinced that this band was going to be big. Already their first single ‘Rakkautta ja piikkilankkaa’ was awarded to be the Most Wanted song of 2004 on the biggest national station YleX. The debut album RAKKAUTTA JA PIIKKILANKKAA was released in April 2004 and sold platinum. The band also got nominated in two categories at Emma-Gaala, the Finnish Grammy awards, and won the award for Rock Debut Of The Year 2004, as well as thousands of young girls’ hearts during 2004.

Although the band performs in Finnish they got more and more dedicated fans all over Europe while touring in Austria and Czech Republic (Masters of Rock Festival) in summer 2005. After heavy touring Uniklubi hit high again ending the summer with the release of the first single of their second banging rock album to come. ‘Kaikki mitä mä annoin’ went straight to No. 1 on YleX radio station’s Most Wanted list and reached the same position on Kiss FM listeners’ Top 30 list on its first week on air, leaving f.e. HIM and The Rasmus far behind. ‘Huomenna’ was then released as radio-only single a couple of months later and became one of the most played songs on Finnish radio stations. In November 2005 the much-awaited second album KEHÄ was finally released and sold gold within days, and the guys received their second platinum discs six months later.

2006 saw another year of extensive touring and the release of the third KEHÄ-single, ‘Kiertää kehää’, as well as another radio single, ‘Tuhka’. For the second time in a row the guys made their appearance at Emma-Gaala and in addition to the Best Video Of The Year 2005 award for ‘Huomenna’ they also collected the alternative Panda Femma award for Best Make-up.

Currently the work on the band’s third album, LUOTISADE, is in its final stages and the album is due to be released on 22nd August 2007.
